Garden Meditation Day!

Satyavani Kakarla

Thanks to the New age movement that although most of us have become too familiar with the word meditation, the most commonly and ignorantly used term, it still remains an enigma, a paradox…

Going to the etymology of the word ‘meditation’, it derives from the Latin root meditatum, meaning to ponder.
In Sanskrit and Hindu practices it is referred to as dhyāna, which comes from the root, the dhatu – dhyai, meaning – to think of, contemplate or meditate.

Some thoughts:

* Mediation happens…
* It is a practice, day in and day out…
* It is a technique to rest the mind attaining a state of awareness and consciousness, something different from the normal waking state with a more heightened attention to the functioning of the Self…
* We merge into the Collective Consciousness…
* We cultivate stillness of the body and mind in the process…
* It is a state of sharpened focus attained in a deliberate manner and sometimes effortlessly…
* It is a study, reflection, continuous thought on a subject, a discourse…

* We attain a natural state of our core being…
* In the process we heal, we become awareness, we experience joy…

What comes to your mind?

To everyone’s health and joy,
Have a Happy Meditative Day!
