11.Downpour of Delight
In conclave of clouds
Sun went missing
in market selling cows calves untraceable.
Like crashing water tank
turned all the ground into a lake,
entire cotton beds when twisted
cascading sky tumbled as branded bull.
As eye lids close
inside the earth
when eyelids open
on the ground
glitters star of water.
Like eyes extending grace to face
water lends glory, glee to earth!

కందుకూరి శ్రీరాములు సిద్ధిపేట జిల్లా రావురూకల గ్రామంలో జన్మించారు. ప్రస్తుత నివాసం హైదరాబాద్. ఇబ్రహీంపట్నం డిగ్రీకాలేజీలో తెలుగు లెక్చరర్గా పనిచేస్తున్నారు. 1995లో ఉత్తమ ఉపాధ్యాయ అవార్డును గెలుచుకున్నారు. నాలుగు దశాబ్దాలుగా కవిత్వం అల్లుతున్నారు. ఫ్రీవర్స్ ఫ్రంట్ అవార్డు, ఉమ్మడిశెట్టి సాహితీ అవార్డు, సి.నా.రె. కవితా పురస్కారం, తెలుగు విశ్వవిద్యాలయం పురస్కారం వంటి అనేక అవార్డులు అందుకున్నారు.
