21.My Path
I listen sleeping on this ground
breathing the same air
on ground
inside earth
so many reverberations
nothing is clear.
I am also advised to sleep blissfully
in a trice earth covers me
at once whirl wind wakes up dust
heart beat about to halt
is restored
pulse that stopped throbbing
races briskly.
Then I get up like a bow
run as a well-aimed arrow
among breaches of branches
through descending rain drops
like a needle piercing through a cloth.
As I turn back to see
river follows me rapidly,
running with eighty four feet
it becomes a deluge.
I shoot through fringes of sky
touching eye of a fish seed
swimming in the sea
transform into a pearl fascinatingly.
With my destination becoming
destination of the river too
smiled together turning into waves.

కందుకూరి శ్రీరాములు సిద్ధిపేట జిల్లా రావురూకల గ్రామంలో జన్మించారు. ప్రస్తుత నివాసం హైదరాబాద్. ఇబ్రహీంపట్నం డిగ్రీకాలేజీలో తెలుగు లెక్చరర్గా పనిచేస్తున్నారు. 1995లో ఉత్తమ ఉపాధ్యాయ అవార్డును గెలుచుకున్నారు. నాలుగు దశాబ్దాలుగా కవిత్వం అల్లుతున్నారు. ఫ్రీవర్స్ ఫ్రంట్ అవార్డు, ఉమ్మడిశెట్టి సాహితీ అవార్డు, సి.నా.రె. కవితా పురస్కారం, తెలుగు విశ్వవిద్యాలయం పురస్కారం వంటి అనేక అవార్డులు అందుకున్నారు.
