Like a Hurricane lantern
Hung to the hook of the sky
Slowly climbing the ladder of the
Peaks of mountains, the morning Sun
Like the bright red hibiscus
Like a yellow chrysanthemum
Like a fully blossomed jasmine
This Lotus lover
Is cool handsome god of winter

This town is Andhra Ooty
Here reside many beauties
The scorching Sun hot spittingfire-
On the world outside
The splendid and brilliant Sun
The Sun of summer heat of Visakha
He is compassion Incarnate as he sits
Surrounded by the hills and green trees
The sun of the warm rays

A friend who can make hearts happy
With no respite even for a minute
Turning moments to rupees
When people absorb themselves in
Professions and jobs
The bells ring in their hearts
Without a minute’s rest
Raising the stress levels
The daily routines of
Iron cages within the four walls of
The prisons of the offices,
The bodies of the statues

Drenched in the non-stop rain of tears
Drop by drop the water drips, shivering,
It is empowering the bird, my heart,
Joy, that has not seen the heat of Sun
To float in the sky is the journey
From the world of sky scrapers that cannot
Help the flowers of breath to blossom
To travel into the nature which
Distributes fragrances like oxygen
Every minute is, so self-absorbing

In cities the pairs of sparrows whose
Addresses cannot be found
Here hopping in joy to and fro
One branch to the other
The squirrels running in a free world
Being patted with the imprint of Rama’s
Three fingers on their bodies
And the melodies of birds, colourful
Unknown, uncountable, and nameless.

Noisy children
Closing books and studies, bidding
Good bye to exams, marks and ranks
In the blue waters of a swimming pond
On one side
The tall ranges of trees that whisper to the sky
On the other side
The beautiful scenes that open up
Under the green umbrella of trees
Sitting on a natural throne of stone
The maids of soft breezes, With moving fans
Standing on either side
Dreaming of staying here
Forever and ever…
