Parental love vs Spiritual Prayers

In the vast expanse of creation, there exists a profound realization: the divine is the ultimate source, the eternal force behind all existence. In comparison, the human self feels small, like a mere offering in a sacred fire. This awareness brings both humility and introspection. While the divine remains constant, unchanging, and radiant, human life is often clouded by भ्रम, illusion and forgetfulness.
We tend to believe in our independence, assuming control over our lives and achievements. Yet, this sense of ownership is fleeting. The divine neither forgets nor falters; it shines with a purity untouched by error. In contrast, human perception is limited, often centered around immediate concerns, especially the deep attachment to family, and above all, to one’s children.
For a parent, life’s greatest truth lies not in spiritual liberation or personal salvation, but in the well-being of their children. Even in dreams, the desire is not for transcendence, but for the safety and happiness of those they cherish. This unwavering love, this vatsalyam, becomes their guiding force, persisting even beyond conscious thought.
There is a humble prayer embedded in this reflection: a plea to the divine to watch over and protect these beloved children. To keep them always within the shelter of divine grace, never allowing them to drift into darkness or despair.
At the same time, there is an honest admission of human error, the tendency to act with pride, to believe “everything is mine,” forgetting the greater truth. Yet, this realization is accompanied by repentance and a sincere request for forgiveness, seen as a first misstep on a journey toward awareness.
Ultimately, this reflection is a delicate blend of devotion, humility, parental love, and the longing for divine protection, a reminder of both our limitations and our deepest bonds.
