Purity of Conscience

When waves are moving wonderfully
and are reaching the heart,
look with the eye of this world.
This is the occasion that says
people should come together
in the beauty of snapped chains.
It is the result of warriors’ sacrifice;
the victory of a war in which no blood spilt!
Amity between religions
has hardened like a diamond;
songs of free India’s tricolors
appeared on the screen of time!
The unnecessary dividing curtains
should disappear,
the prisons of heart screens
should be destroyed.
Everything should become
a dazzling star of knowledge.
Lo, there’s a bridge of
white pigeons in the sky.

The motherland is giving fruits
of love everywhere.
Let us quit enmities, animosities, rescue ourselves
from the cunning of eagle eyes; foster peace,
purity, fraternity, equality and salute the flag.
The spirit of the tricolor should shine
as the purity of conscience.
